I swapped out the ballast, coil, voltage regulator, ECU, and distributor pick up. Ran tests on everything.

1. Installed new motor
2. Installed transmission
3. Car started, second try
4. Adjusted timing
5. Test drove and had Indication of transmission issues
6. Backed into the garage, put on jack stands
7. Supported motor and removed transmission
8. Installed transmission
9. Relocated starter solenoid about 1" to get some space from the distributor.
Car hasn't started since.
But, apparently it eats rotors...

No hail, but raining on and off all day.Raining in buckets here with a bit of hail.
Distributor touched firewall, supposed to at least pull cap off.This is the sequence
