Stop in for a cup of coffee

:realcrazy: :realcrazy::realcrazy: Before my Dad started working for other construction contractors he had a contractor license of his own. A common project for him was bomb shelters for property owners, in the Mojave Desert :realcrazy:. I thought to myself :wtf: would anybody want one of those things out here in the middle of nowhere? Then I find out that Barstow was like the #3 target on the West Coast for our Cold War foe. Edwards AFB, George AFB, Marine Corps Supply Center, Ft Irwin, all within an hour drive.

That ain't it! I've been to Barstow.....'Nuff said!

:poke::lol:

:lol: It was a good place to grow up and then GTF OUTA there :rofl:
:rofl::rofl:

I really shouldn't rag on Barstow all that much. After all, that's where my '67 F250 (on the left) spent all of it's life (or so the Seller claimed), and from where I rescued purchased it.

Really clean truck, and the flipped over extra bed on the back was equally as nice!

Didnt do scrap run. Guess its tomorrow morning.

And on the starlink discussion, mine just went down. I have yet to look at it, but i think it may just need a reset. First time in 2 years.

Moved my Fargo stuff on to the cement slab that i had the shed on last year. Pretty much the equivalent of 4 parts trucks. Room for 1 more.

I only recall one time we actually got measurable snow :eek: . It was a dandy storm. Couldn't get in or out of town without snow chains. I was workin' at a Chevron station that night. It was a dicey ride home on those G60 Torque Twisters :lol:. Curves and corners were bad enough, but none of town was flat and some of those hills were a real challenge :lol:

I talked to the install company today................they want $700 just to install...........Uh, NO!

I haven't bought any equipment yet, and am still looking at several options of where to mount the dish and enter the house with the cable.

That's because the laws are made by people who don't ride motorcycles. When they change that law I did a study for the next two years I don't exactly remember the numbers but the first year was it over 2,000 people died riding motorcycles and only $160 some were without helmets I know personally two people who died with broken necks from the weight of a helmet when you hit an impact the only study they do is the what pressure it takes to crush that helmet they don't look at you've got a 8 to 12 lb instrument on top of an 8 lb head on the weakest part of your body which is your neck ridiculous but they'll get a past again
Preach it Brother!
