It's Tommy Tuesday!

tommyivoII.jpg

Good morning :D

1406 Edelbrock carb. Starts immediately after sitting overnight, no pumps required. Idle goes to about 3K Rs and stays there. Exterior linkages appear to be good. Throttle does respond above elevated idle. Any ideas?
Just saw this. Curb idle set way too high. Fast idle cam sticking or mis adjusted. Choke not coming off. (the fast idle cam should still drop to curb idle position whether the choke is off or not as soon as you tap the acc. pedal)

or the body armor
I went out front to check behind the bushes next to the house. My wife called me a dummy and said "what if they were hiding and had a gun". I said "I would get shot I guess because I don't have a gun" May be she will think about that a bit. The neighbor said we could defend ourselves with our weed wackers! LMFAO

It started while it was on a drive.
Did you leave a screwdriver down the carb throat and the butterflies wouldn't close? :poke:  If you can get the engine to shut off without dieseling all afternoon, it should be easy to find.

Surprised some what after taking my tank out, it's like new under here, 66 gas tank looks good as well, hmmm, do I just clean it out and do an inspection, hmm we will see.

Morning fellers and fellet, cool morning out on the deck with the kids(dogs). I have a 410 single shot that is just a wall hanger. It's a 44-410 that takes brass 410 black powder shells and 44 shells.

Got it from my Stepdad. It was a family gun and is about 100 years old. Iver Johnson still makes a single shot .410.

Do tell. I'm ready for a good story.
You asked for it
He lived 2 doors down from us. One of the little collections of homes on a major highway through the middle of the Mojave desert. We did everything together from before kindergarten to 4th grade. Motorcicles, mini-bikes, go karts, BB Guns and jack rabbits, church, and school until 4th grade. Dad gets new job, off to the beach we go until 8th grade and back to the desert. Now he's on the other side of town from us and different schools, contact was limited until we started driving. Late teens, "Have you still got that old 410?" he asks me. "I want to borrow it and go chukar hunting." No worries, bring it back when you're done. He must have hunted chukar for a year  . He even got married to the daughter of the minister of the church we attended as kids, she was smokin' hot . I had started my apprenticeship and work was over the hill in LA. I ran into him at another buddy's music store on a Saturday, greetings and catching up for a while. "Hey, have you still got my 410? It's chukar season and I want to go blow up some birds." "Well, no :( I think my wife sold it. We were short of cash and she wanted to get high :(" ":BangHead: That's ok, it was old, you can pay me back sometime, see ya later." Turns out his hot wife, the minister's daughter had a drug problem. Shortly after they fled the scene to Idahohoho. Lesson 1.. Stay away from minister's daughters  Lesson 2 .. Keep the firearms nearby :elmer:

That's a great story.  I knew a couple that were pretty hot.

Lesson 1.. Stay away from minister's daughters
Roger that!! Hottest girl I ever dated was a Baptist Minsiters daughter. Her name was Kim, but all my buddies referred to her as Kimmmmmmm, as she was so damn good loooking and easy on the eyes.

But she was Trouble ("...with a capital T, right here in River City..."), and y'all know that poster that says, "No matter how hot she is, someone somewhere is fed-up wth her bullshit", Well, I swear that was made because of her.

Beautiful woman, but just not worth it once you got to know her.
