And everyone is so friendly on a Honda!

Found my "missing parts" in that mess of a garage I now have, 2 fender splash guards, 2 valance pieces. Tried to dig out a couple of fishing poles for son and new wife, what a tangled mess but I pulled out two and we rigged them up for Humpy fishing- she has never caught a salmon so that should be a fun trip here in near future. Buzzed up wifes home made headboard, we saved the antique arch but that thing was massive, heavy and we can't drill any holes in wall here at this rental so had to go.

Not sure. I remember a few years back someone was unknowingly dragging a chain down the road. Could have been a trailer safety chain or a chain that came loose from a binder. Regardless, it was sparking as it bounced on the road and started a whole bunch of brush fires over several miles!!!
Could be what brought about that 30K smoldering acres just east of here. They said it began as 4 tiny little fires scattered along the roadside.

I had some salmon last night. A new Sushi restraint opened up and Lauren wanted to go there for her birthday. All you can eat and we did. We ordered this for our first round. It came on a boat. LOL It was all very good. The small tray was the second round.

Take your generic after market fiberglass seat, 2 .50 cal ammo cans, mig welder, assorted nuts and bolts, and there you have the new interior for your Baja Bug. Ammo cans get welded together side to side on the lid and on the very bottom. You now have a combination seat, tool box and seat mounting bracket. :D

 The guy I desert raced with was a big dude 6'6" and 250ish, he was the car owner, so the car was built to fit him. I started out as his co-driver/ballast . When he put me to sharing the driving duty with him we had this cushion of very dense foam trimmed to fit the driver seat that was used to shim me forward so I could reach the pedals and steering wheel . Driver change, I pull the release on the 5 point harness, remove the shim cushion and off he goes

CalFire update on that nearby incident 40K acres, still only 5% containment. Mostly National Forest land, very few structures or inhabitants. Couple pretty good sized cattle ranches that lease the forest land.

That’s actually a really cool idea

Bummer but steak for dinner? : )
They briefly interviewed one of the ranchers on the news last night and I recognized the background to confirm where I thought it was burning. There was another wildfire out there a few weeks ago, that fire created a fire break for the current fire, they are that close together. Rancher said last fire burned up their grazing on one side of the highway, current fire is doing same on the other side of the highway :BangHead:

Ordered new BBQ yesterday, arrives tomorrow, old one shot and I had already done work on it. New one is a 6 burner, 75k BTU so will pop oysters open and has separate searing section. Will try to assemble it tomorrow, burn it in and do up some steaks.

Probably because my computer went stupid when I was writing the post, had to edit pic in after everything got going. The wife will be the first in line for the steaks, she loves that seasoning (me too)
