bought a 63 Tempest from a friend with no brakes. it was on the other side of town. a friend drove my pick-up in front of me with a tire tied to the rear bumper. didn't tap it once, found out reverse was "synchro'd". just a minor scratch before going in. the transaxle didn't like it to much with all the hopping around it did.How do you know
Rusted brake line(s)? Sounds like my '92 F150 "yard truck":top loader three speed. 4th, reverse, is for sudden stops when the brake lines rusts out...ask me how I know!

My 65 had valiant badging, i thought it was canadian BarracudasIt's had some mods.
64 and I think 65 it was a "Valiant Barracuda" if I recall. You'll occasionally see the Valiant badge on the trunk lid

Wow that all looks really good and sounds delicious.Off to Textile Brewing in Manchester (where the Field of Dreams field is) for a barrel finished beer release. They have massively good giant pretzels and pizza bread so we will enjoy lunch there too. Something fun to do.

Uncle Nick’s Reserve | Barrel-aged Wee Heavy | 10.3% ABV
Brewed from the 2024 Wort Rally-winning recipe, this barrel-aged Wee Heavy is as bold as it is patient, crafted with an extraordinary 11-hour boil. Aged in Cedar Ridge (Swisher, IA) Single Malt Whiskey barrels, it pours deep and rich with bourbon and caramel warmth, dried fruit aromas and notes of muddled cherries. Each sip unfolds layers of toffee, burnt sugar and oak, balancing seamlessly between the sweetness of the malt and the character of the barrel. A truly complex and memorable tribute, this is a Wee Heavy worth savoring.

I wish you were closer. It is a fun old building. They made clothing back in the day (20's I believe) They kept and used many of the original benches and fixtures. Their craft beers are over the top. As is their food.Wow that all looks really good and sounds delicious.
Would be fun to stop in there someday. I'm still liking your oatmeal stout you made a few years ago. That was good...I wish you were closer. It is a fun old building.
