Stop in for a cup of coffee

Love me some Pink Floyd. I would have to make a trip across the state to Illinois to a dispensary to truly appreciate the depth of their music.:rofl::rofl:
Under-friggin'-stood!

About 10-15 years ago a good friend of mine found a really rare bootleg Pink Floyd LP while we are out "scorching the earth" (as he puts it) cruising garage and yard sales looking for vinyl, but despite all my pleading and begging he gave it to his daughter. To this day I still ask him about "my" PF album....

Never give up. Just like old cars and "I'm going to restore it someday".

wasn't a turntable or headphones though. it was Dad's stereo in the basement when they went out shopping one Saturday. I'm glad the windows stayed in place and the neighbors didn't complain. at least none that I ever heard about. BTW, this would be the same stereo dad played John Phillip Sussa marching band records on and the neighbors came out of their houses to see where the parade was.

maybe it runs in the family. Dad's Dad (died before I was born) worked in the railyard. story is told that Mom was walking down the sidewalk one winter day and Grandad, who is inside with the house closed up, says "who's the pretty lady with the new hat?" well, she heard him a couple doors away. course, now the time I started the dart in the garage (attached to the house and under the bedrooms) sans mufflers, Mom comes downstairs and says I'm rattling her teeth. :)

PF was the main reason I was into subwoofers before they became a "thing". Taught myself the basics of crossovers and filters, as well.

When I built my SB Vega (in HS) the neighbor told my Mon I was building a "racecar". She got all upset and talked to Dad. He calmed her down somehow, and told her that it wouldn't be around for long (he was right).

Anyway, the first time I fired it up all it had were the old "ram horn" exhaust manifolds, and to my ears it sure sounded sweet! Mom, on the other hand....not so much.

the old Dart had Speed-Pro 13-1 pistons and a Crane 485/504 hyd camshaft. it was all bolt together, no machining other than balancing. but it sounded good thru the old 1-3/4 Hooker headers.when it was used to go to school, my sister would hear it start and tell the other kids at the bus stop I was starting the car. they thought she was nuts. couple minutes later I come around the corner with it .he-he

Good morning!
Nice! but too low to get out of. reminds me of my 280Z, you just roll out. needs a parts stool chair with a back rest...and maybe a seat belt! kinda like "Thank God for the man who put seat belts on bar stools".

i asked that seat belt question at a IKF regional race we had at the track. The IKF safety guy said "Think about it, you tangle tires with another kart and it gets to flipping around. Do you wanna be strapped in there? Or able to get away from that flying object?"
