Good morning everyone. Going to be a cold couple weeks. Meeting Dad for lunch today and I have a 4 day trip to Oregon in Feb I am looking forward to.

We have had a great winter so far, colder this morning and a cold day ahead at 39 for the high temps , but a sunny day at least.

I saw in the news that Pacific Coast Highway near Big Sur/Monterey is finally open again. 3 years fixing landslides and avalanches. What a money maker that would be for those in my past line of work

Wow!! 3 years to clear it, had to be some nasty wet mud sliding for miles and miles. Congratulations! Bet it makes a bunch of people happy to hear that news.

Numerous locals made comments and were quite pleased. I took ex and daughter on that trip when the brat was about 7 yrs old. I had taken that ride numerous times in my youth and was always amazed by the beauty. Sure, it's pretty twisty driving, but no big deal to me. They made it about 30 miles north of the beginning of the fun and both fell asleep .

I vaguely seem to remember my uncle taking mom and I on a trip like that, all day on the road, he lived near Bell Gardens and Loss Angeles.. May have been a different coast line, I was 7 in the third row back seat facing backwards (big Ford.

Morning ! At least 2 inches of snow here . Yuck !

We’re supposed to get somewhere between 1 to 3 inches starting this evening, and my wife has already informed me that I will NOT be clearing ANY of it. With 350 feet of driveway, and she doesn’t like using the snowblower, this should be interesting!
