I don't know all the aprticulars but it is a +.030 over late 60's 440 with 9.5/1 hyper pistons, ported stock cast heads (not familiar with the casting numbers for big block), a CH4B Edelbrock intake, a Demon carb (I believe it's a 750) and a stock electronic dist. The cam is a Comp XE275 HL-10 with .525/.525 275°/287° @ 110° c/l. It was dynoe'd with headers of course and Joe has headers and 2 1/2" exhaust with electric cut outs. I think it will be a nice bump from his stock 383 he has in the re now. HP 468 TQ 505 @5500 rpm. @dukeboy_318
That's some good info there, my motor is almost identical to that.
My machinist guesstimated low to mid 400's hp and mid to hi 400's tq.

It's pretty cool to build a basically stock engine with a little port work and a mild cam and get over a horse per cube and tons of torque.

It's also interesting that when I ran some numbers on my old desktop dyno (2000) and not knowing all the specs except for the overbore and cam and I came up with 458 hp and 483 tq @ 5500 with full exhaust. With open headers I got 486 hp and 505 tq @ 5500. Joe's engine was ran with headers and header mufflers and they did mess with timing. No carb mods though. The desktop wasn't too far off the real numbers of 468 hp and 505 tq @5500.

Got to enjoy as much of this day as I can :) Sunshine all day  Temps starting out at 47 degrees
And east Tennessee is getting rain all day to snuff out all the hot spots after that bad fire..

Desk top dyno? Is it worth buying?
