Did someone mention Batman.
Well it was marked as 'sold' yesterday before he got there when I looked at it last night.well, the thread/ad is marked as sold... so I think that's a good sign. On the other hand (and I hate to think like this) - it IS Friday the 13th...
LOL! Are these things coming out of a book you are reading?
this is trueKeep in mind he's 'going back in time' (West) probably an hour earlier at this point.

Never looked at them myself, but found thisdoes anyone know if they stamped numbers on 66 engines ???
is there a way to know if it is the "numbers" matching engine in 66
IIRC they didn't stamp numbers in 66 but I don't remember for sure
No engine numbers to match to vehicle that I know of in '66. Best you can get is that it's a '66 engine has a casting that is 'date correct'. AFIK, numbers matching to VIN didn't come in until '69.does anyone know if they stamped numbers on 66 engines ???

There is a typo in that reference. They state that it started in '58 but it was actually after the '68 model year ended (so it was late '68 for the '69 MY).Never looked at them myself, but found this

That should work unless it's a manual tranny. That makes it harder.Home. For now. May take a shot at one arm driving tomorrow.

I did 6 weeks of 'one arm driving' about 20 years ago after I fell and dislocated my right elbow and chipped some bones in it. Harder to drive one armed with the left than the right since you cant easily get to the shifter, key, etc...but it's workable.
there that damn thumb again. Some goofs in the bottom dates too...There is a typo in that reference. They state that it started in '58 but it was actually after the '68 model year ended (so it was late '68 for the '69 MY).
They do state that "During the first two years (until 1970), Chrysler usually stamped the entire number on the rail." This is correct and shows that the '58 date in the first sentence was indeed a typo.
Why stop at a 440? Does it really matter unless you are doing a rotisserie restoration of a museum piece?good, since there are no numbers, now I don't have any guilt entertaining the idea of putting the 383 from the polara in the dart and getting a 440 for the polara.
When I have more $$$ I might put a want ad in Co for a nice 440
A million opinions! Leave the 383 where it's at, get it running nice. Then build a 440 (or whatever).. then swap the 383 into the Dart and drop whatever in the land yacht.. that way you keep them all running most all the time...good, since there are no numbers, now I don't have any guilt entertaining the idea of putting the 383 from the polara in the dart and getting a 440 for the polara.

And don't send me pictures of the sexy car with me photoshopped lying across the hood in all my hairy glory, no matter how much I might beg.
