I had an older gent ask to me to open my hood and show him my slant six yesterday at church. said he hadn't seen a slant in YEARS!!!
says he bought a 72 valiant brand new with a slant, but traded it for a new car in the mid 80s
he pointed out something really cool about A-bodes that has been under my nose but I guess I never really thought about it .....
he says, he always thought A-bodies were neat how the hood hinges are mostly hidden and out of the way, like would be on a custom car.
After he pointed it out and I thought about it ...he is right you know........that is kinda different compared to most cars of the era. Even my B-body has some great big, bulky hinges right in the way, to jab you in the ribs when you jump up and try to reach something on the firewall.

I think it's cool when older people have memories come back when they see a 60s car that they may not have seen for years.
It would be so cool to see things as they were through their eyes.
Us younger people can only imagine life in the 60s
