Stop in for a cup of coffee

plus - I made friends at that shop - been back a couple more times with "stupid ****" tire stuff.. they took care of me. I'm not saying don't buy from TireRack or whomever... just recognize that both methods have drawbacks

just easier to go local - Tim's mistake was trusting them to do more than put tires on
You mean letting them mount the wheels on the car? Do you do your own? C'mon man, if they can mount and balance tires on the wheels they should be able to mount them on the car too. He didn't make a mistake, they just weren't up to the whole job.

Discount tires is good. I use Tire Rack. I've bought my last 6 sets of tires from them across all our cars over the past 5 years.

I don't like the limited selection at my local Discount tire... It seems that they want me to buy their "tire of the week" instead of what I want, so I go to Goodyear....

true enough - even at the "local guy" shop - they get incentives that they try to pass out to you, that's why you do some research and call them - can you get me XYZ? if yes, see you soon - if no, next!

How many bucks?
LOTS!
