It is always wet they rinse it off to get the dust out. Man this pile is frozen all the way through, this will suck for sure. Usually it just gets a skim freeze.

you gotta be one of the few private citizens that still use coal to heat. Pretty coolIn that little shed, just goes into the house stove.

Although I imagine that costs a bit more...Kinda sounds like you were doing better with bags
3xAlthough I imagine that costs a bit more...
Ouch, that would add up.
Just PISS on on it Ray !!!!!HMM back the dart up to it and rev it!
wow!
Certainly getting less, but probably more than you would think still using it around here.you gotta be one of the few private citizens that still use coal to heat. Pretty cool![]()
Convenience. The people buying that are not usually using it as heat. Occasional fireplace use, some campers. Quick pretty fire, clean and easy...wow!
Something I've never understood is people who buy firewood at chain stores or gas stations. You pay 7-8 bucks for maybe 10 pieces of small, chucks of wood....... WHY?! I could understand the hickory slabs they sell for smoking and grilling but for firewood?!
yeah but still. Maybe I should get into selling firewood lolConvenience. The people buying that are not usually using it as heat. Occasional fireplace use, some campers. Quick pretty fire, clean and easy...
I was thinking I might put some out... My old neighbor did it for many years. Mostly campers buying it.yeah but still. Maybe I should get into selling firewood lol
yeah. here it goes for 45 a rick..... but if you get the national forest stamp, you can sell to a national campground and thats like 25 bucks for a 5 gallon bucket fullI was thinking I might put some out... My old neighbor did it for many years. Mostly campers buying it.
$5 a box. He gave them probably at least twice as much as a store bought bundle. He's been gone a couple years and my current neighbor has told me people still stop in looking for it.
Hmm, properly stacked I understand a 'rick' to be 1/3 of a cord. Not getting it that cheap around here. Quality wood in season, more like 2 bills a cord, delivered, (not stacked). On the other hand, nobody is going to give $25 for a bucket full around here.yeah. here it goes for 45 a rick..... but if you get the national forest stamp, you can sell to a national campground and thats like 25 bucks for a 5 gallon bucket full
One place I used to camp upstate did $10 a wheelbarrow load. But that was usually mix and match crap. Some side cuts from logs with bark still on, 2x's, etc.
