I was messing with this. Apron repair panel.
This is what I ended up making. On top of the dash, pillar pods etct did not fit well. The faceplate around the heater control had some wood screws in it so I mounted them on a bracket right above the heater control in front of the dash pad. They are centered about in the center of the pad (in height) Looked good last night when it was done have to take a pic this morning. Still a bit to do but not much.
Looks good. I had the pass fender rotted out just above that and right under the hood hinge. seemed a strange place to me so I changed the fender.

Hey George. Looks like I'm in the same shape as you on my car. Mine is actually ready to be sanded out and engine bay painted as soon as I get it outside to do so. Makes too much of a mess in my shop.
My passenger side fender has a replacement ready to go on, mine rusted bad around the antenna area, Looks like GeorgeH fixed his, looking great :color:
I runn out and get a pic in a minute of them installed. Just need some real gauges my kid gave me these for xmas a few years ago. Have to use them.

Cool.post a pic when you get trough. yeah, the flange is rusted out of the fender on that side on mine. Looking for a fender.

I found a good used one that I stripped. I just found out about a junkyard up here that has around 5 4 door darts and a lot of 60-70 cars. I want to check it out tomorrow. My kids friend has 2 Lincon conts and knew about this for a year and just told me about it. My bud Ron needs the tail piece to trunk for a 72 Monte so worth a look.

Hey what do you guys think a 72 chevelle ss clone in fair shape with a 409 is worth?
I had to change the left skirt with an AMD. Was too rusty, especially where the battery was. AMD fits good.
15.99 for thirty and made in NY. That is long gone now. Not bad if it is cold. The Busch is Rons hop help payment! LOL Got into the Fosters oil cans last night, ouch!

I stumbled across Classic 2 Current for body metal and am really happy. The rear half QP's were around 80 and 25 shipping each. I think they are really close to what I have seen from AMD. C2C.com I think
Supposevely this guy has a chance for 3k. Needs rockers in the pic. He looked at the car and said it was in pretty good shape. Sounds like a money maker to me. I am thinking the 409 if that is what it is has to be a couple of grand itself. He is a newer car cuy and knows nothing about the older ones. Opposite from me. I know just enough to get into trouble!

I'll have to check that out. I'll need outer rockers and outer rear wheel wells. I already got some new complete quarters from Hemidenny for a great price.
They have a hell of an inventory. The only issue I ever had with them was I ordered the trunk extensions for 20 or so each and on line the shipping to my zip kept coming up in Azerbaijan! for 250! Called them and 15 to the door. Usually 2-3 days UPS. Really have everything for all models!
