Stop in for a cup of coffee

He has a shop across the street, big Mopar guy, 69 Charger and a GTX on a rotisserie. He gave me the best compliment on the pops 44o said it sounded like his!

Funny we're talking about squirrels, there's one in my back yard right now gathering nuts (hickory and acorns)....

He also has one of the old sun machines just sitting there I have been trying to get from him.
Like this one, I used to use one in a gas station in the 80's

The rain is bringing down lots of new leaves... :violent1:

So much for my great clean up this week... #-o

I just mulch mine, I will never have a great lawn here, to much of it. Just the front yard looks really nice.

I have too many trees around here, I'm next to a forest preserve. If I don't keep up with them, the snow blower has fits with them...

Not to mention that they will kill what little grass that I can get to grow in all of the shade from the trees.... My yard is patchy from all of the trees and shade, and the path from the animals coming for dinner. I don't have a garbage disposal, so I throw all the scraps outside and let whatever animal will eat them have them... It saves space in the landfills also...

I have my "day crew" of chipmonks, squirrels, and birds. Then the "night shift" of raccoons, coyotes, and deer....

The night crew is more reliable for cleaning up. Whatever the day crew can't get, the night crew usually will finish. Very rarely will food sit more than a day. It's always gone by the second night crew "sitting" on the rare occasion that it lasts more than a day....

That's where I throw my old food from the fridge also.

If I can fill up a coyote, then I save a smaller animal from being his dinner that night...

Sounds busy there, I have a lot of animals visit here. Harley definitely scared off the smaller critters! LMAO! She got kicked by a deer she chased last week and was hurting. She is good now and back to her hyper adolescence self!

I think it is to crappy to work in the shop today, to early to heat the thing! Flooring again!

My dog loves to chase them all, especially the squirrels, coons, and coyotes. He's chased as many as five coyotes out of our yard at once... I have to keep an eye on him, as once he chased three of them into the neighbor's yard across the street, then the coyotes set up a 3 point circle around him and were looking like they were going to start attacking him, so I called him off. My dog is strong and big enough to take them on one-on-one, he's better fed than the coyotes and has much better muscle tone, but three on one is alot to ask...

They usually hunt in packs and I usually see them in threes. There are at least two packs of coyotes around here, most likely more. We regularly hear them howling at night, especially when they hear a police/ambulance siren. We are only two miles from a hospital and hear ambulances regularly, and half a mile from the police station and hear the squads at night.

For some reason, the sound of the sirens causes the coyotes to howl....

Many times, my dog asks to go out so he can check to see if there is anything that he can chase. He will sometimes try to get me out of bed in middle of the night so he can check. I yell at him if he doesn't go to the bathroom, so sometimes he will give a couple of quick squirts before coming in to avoid getting in trouble.

He really hates the coyotes though. I can tell if he sees one by the way he acts. If he sees a coon, he will bark at it, and it will run up a tree. If he sees a coyote, and I tell him "no chasing", he will stand on the front porch and bark at them until they leave... He won't tolerate those bums hanging around his yard...

I have to call him out sometimes when he asks to go out too often and tell him that he should have taken care of it the last time he went out less than an hour ago.... Nice try...

I'm here looking for inspiration and well that's just not inspirational lol. It's damp out there and the old bones feeling it

Just go out and start looking at the car... #-o

You will then see what needs to be done, then start "picking" at it. Do one thing, then another... Until you start to make some progress and keep going.... :violent1:

(It may help to make "vroom vroom" sounds like when you were a kid playing with hot wheels to help get into it.... The difference between men and boys is the size/price of their toys... ) :burnout:

I don't have coyotes here that I have seen but the black bears come and visit. I use whistling bottle rockets in the air and they take off.
