Stop in for a cup of coffee

Joel needed a die grinder this morning. He owns Boss Interiors. His handiwork has won the Riddle Award . Always fun to see what he's up to. Today he is building a custom interior for a Chevy II convert.

Hi guys. Tough one here. Lost my brother yesterday. He was in and out of hospital for years. Just too many things wrong and his body finally gave up.

My sympathy to you. It's heart-breaking to see a loved-one suffer a long illness, and a relief when his suffering ends, as much as we wish things could be different. He would want you to remember happy times. Praying for you and your family at this difficult time.

Looks pretty nice Karl. What is wrong with it ?

Needs a battery and a clutch.

The guy tried to say it just needed a clutch adjustment, but I think it needs a new clutch, so I talked him down $100 more for the kid... :evil3:

He went around his work (dealership porter) and asked all of the expert trans techs how to proceed... #-o

He's learning to go seek out expert advice when you don't know what to do next...

That's cool.

We have an interior trim and glass shop here that does all kinds of stuff. I've seen them do custom interiors for boats with cushions and material from scratch.... It's an art... :prayer:

Dang, weird weather. It's raining and there's a tornado warning for my area. Radar indicated not not one spotted though.

I got about the same weather you do. Winds suck but it's still fairly warm. Going hunting in the mountains for a week. Should get to see some of that snow up there..

We're getting that weather now...

Here's the alert from our local police station:

**************************************************************

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

DAY ONE...TONIGHT WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
WIND GUSTS OF AT LEAST 45 MPH AT TIMES APART FROM ANY STORMS.
THUNDERSTORMS...SOME OF WHICH MAY PRODUCE.... WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 50 MPH.
A BRIEF QUICKLY MOVING TORNADO.

TIMING:

A PRIMARY AXIS OF STORMS WILL SHIFT EAST FROM IOWA AND MISSOURI
INTO NORTHERN AND CENTRAL ILLINOIS THIS EVENING...REACHING NEAR
THE INTERSTATE 39 CORRIDOR AROUND 900 PM...AND THE CHICAGO TO
KANKAKEE AXIS FROM 10 PM TO MIDNIGHT.

DISCUSSION:

AS A RIBBON OF STORMS...SOME OF WHICH BEING SUPERCELLS...MOVE
INTO WESTERN ILLINOIS THEY SHOULD MAINTAIN THEIR INTENSITY
THROUGH EARLY EVENING. SOME SCATTERED STORMS MAY DEVELOP IN
ADVANCE OF THIS MAIN BAND OF SHOWERS AND STORMS.

THOUGH THESE ARE NOT ANTICIPATED TO BE SEVERE. THE MAIN AXIS OF STORMS WILL
SHIFT ACROSS THE AREA DURING THE MID TO LATE EVENING. DUE TO
HIGH WINDS IN THE ENVIRONMENT SOME OF THESE STORMS COULD EASILY
PRODUCE BRIEF SEVERE WINDS. THE THREAT FOR BRIEF TORNADOES WILL
LIKELY SLOWLY DIMINISH AFTER 9 PM...THOUGH STILL BE REALIZED
ACROSS AT LEAST NORTH AND EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS.

BY OVERNIGHT...NON THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS WILL CONTINUE TO
INCREASE BEHIND THE COLD FRONT...WITH GUSTS APPROACHING 55 MPH.

*************************************************************************

It looks like it's heading east...

You all in Michigan, Ohio, and PA look out... Here it comes...

It just about hit here but headed north of us, you stay safe up there

Good morning. Looks like we will pick up a little dump of rain here in a few hours, but the winds hit heavy tommorow and stick around into Saturday. Hopefully they take away any leaves that fall...

Spent some time yesterday on the GTS. Got wheels and tires on the front and removed the casters Yeaaa . Roller now Spent a lot of time blasting all the washers , nuts, and bolts to attach parts to the engine and crossmember and such

Dannys car should be done today, I am glad I had Chuck(the guy that does bodywork) do it a rad support on a Cobalt is a *****! Be nice to have a car again, really weird not having one been using the Tikey truck up and down the street to his shop, Funny thing our local trooper jogs every morning and we wave to each other!
