I am too but this kitty has been busy, with the warm temps the ground finally dried and hardened.

I had bought three cars a few months ago but they are shells and one doesn't have a suspension. So in order to get a guy with a forklift to the location, the ground had to be dry and hard because he didn't want to risk getting his forklift stuck.

so he called the other night and told me to get the trailer ready because he had contestant number one dug out and ready to load.

my economics professor once told us that fast food is a good indicator of the condition of the economy. Usually when the economy is booming they charge full price and see no need for promotions with an already robust flow of sales. When the economy is in a slump, the fast food places have to compete with each other to make sure they get the increasingly thinning market of people who have less and less disposable income.

I hope he is wrong because the fast food joints are competing fierce right now. Wendys came up with 4 for $4. Then Burger king introduced 5 for $4. which is the same items but with a cookie. Now Carls introduced their 4 for $4. and they give you a chicken sammich instead of nuggets like the other guys...and the burger is a double unlike the other guys.

It pays to advertise and be in a convenient location ...Thanks Carls.

Plus I put the chicken sammich and half the fires in the fridge for dinner and had the burger now for lunch with some of the soda pop . :D:D

Now Ben's really jealous... A duster and a burger!!! It don't get much better than that..
 
We looked at Chuck's Valiant today and the kid loved it and put a deposit down on it..

Now he has to put the slant in it so we can pick it up when it's ready...

My youngest son now has a 68 Valiant more door....
 
I read about the 'weight-loss competition'. I wont be competeing. I'm kindof in Mitch's boat... I'll just antagonize with pictures of biscuits and gravy...

actually I know what you mean ....last year I had to pay so someone on unemployment could get a drug and couch stimulus.

Now that I make more than I did when I was in college I doubt I will get a return.

Yet, if I had dropped out of HS and had a baby from someone in jail, I would probably get 5X the return I have ever had as I am. ****SiGH****

oh well ....blessing come in many forms.

Assuming I did get a return .....in a magic dream land....then we are cooking LOL

Took the old stuff back off and checked for wear again. None. Just got the new stuff yesterday. Assembled the new stuff on the left and rechecked the right side. Re-adjusted all rockers, and then.... Yes... It was DINNER time LOL.
Probably fire it up sometime tomorrow with the open covers on it again so I can verify oiling one more time before I close it up.

Easy Peasy... Make sure you get a new Wax ring and check the old flange bolts in case you need new ones.
