Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good job. My slanty felt a bit slighted by your comment. She started drinking early this morning trying to erase the memory of those harsh words.. Now that she's had a taste of alcohol, she's hollering for injection. I may have to shave her head instead...

I was thinking to feed her appetite with any of these options ....except the top one which what you probably have now

I need to find the one on the lower right. Should be easy to find when I'm ready to give her some more juice...

those used to be all over but now they are getting harder to find and people are proud of them now a days.

the good thing is you don't need the kickdown linkage. I have seen the kickdown go for as much as the mainifold. The kickdown is unique to the 2 bbl.

I am sure you want a cast iron, the aluminum ones are more often than not JUNK and leak. I had one like that years ago and I finally changed it out with cast iron unit. I don't have that set up anymore because it went the car I sold. :sad9:

I am pretty sure you can use a 2bb. from a 318 since you don't need the kickdown but there is something with the throttle shaft, it need to be re-clocked somehow which I am sure cant be too awful bad if people done it before.

I plan to use a GM style TBI on the 2 bbl intake. That's a good bit down the road tho. Unless, of course, I run into a huge sum of money....

Moving is painful enough by itself, but last night after signing off here I tripped over a box before going to bed that my wife moved in front of a cabinet in the kitchen. Most of the lights were out and I didn't see it in the shadow.

I went down hard and landed with all my weight squarely on my right knee. OMFG the pain was incredible. I was barely able to sleep last night due to the pain.

Today it's swollen to the size of a cantaloupe. Nothing seems to be broken and I can walk on it ok...it just hurts like hell and I can't fully bend it due to the swelling.

It feels like someone smashed my knee with a sledge hammer.

Not exactly the way I wanted to start the week.

yikes man!! been there - ice for the first 24hrs then "heat" afterwards

Yeah, I've been icing it all day. I know it will just take time to heal but...Goddam...it hurts!

On another note, glad to see your engine refresh is back on track. :thumbrig:

just placed my order on summitracing for the cam & lifters, bearings (cam and main), some gaskets and piston rings - yippie

Dave - time to take a day or two off from the moving thing.. bag it for now. Put the leg up and heal - those boxes will wait for ya.

Yep, pretty much everything is on hold except going into work and coming home. Even that will be restricted and short days as much as possible. I just have some critical meetings that I need to be there for tomorrow and Wednesday.

Otherwise, it's all rest for the next few days. Everything else can wait.

oh yea, for some reason I keep thinking you are retired.. must be that night owl thing you gots goin' on..

LOL! Yeah, I've always been a night owl. I'm at my best between 10 am and midnight.

No retirement here yet, at least another 10 years before I get there. I'm only 52 and I don't have that much of a nest egg built up yet. :)

well, tomorrow is looking like a long day here - weather looks miserable, hopefully we get through the 4hrs of ice precip they are predicting tonight between 12 and 4am.. 'tis bed time... cyas!

Sorry about the knee. That sucks. And I'm with you on the 52 and too damn many years of working left. I'm building the nest egg, but the wife sure does want to spend it now. Maybe that elusive lotto ticket will find its way to me..

Yeah, we've got the freezing rain now. 1/4" of ice on everything on top of the 3" of snow we got today. Fortunately it's supposed to warm above freezing by midnight and be at 42° by 5 am.

Yeah, I have to keep reminding my wife to reign in the spending now and be moderate or I will never be able to retire. We can spend a little, just be prudent about it.

I keep telling her that my life insurance is worth far less than my retirement fund will be, so give me a chance to build it without killing myself...it's in her own best interest.

Nicely said. I think my wife sees ALL the benefits of my demise!
