I think Hoppy's using it for inspiration for the Pop-mobile!

holy crap - literally!! LOL

back in 2004, I was getting ready to go to Army basic training. I was driving by a place i'd driven by probably 10k times in my life, right down the road from my grandparent's farm. Anyway, there was a bright yellow car sitting in the back field behind this barn, so i stopped, turned around and stopped. It was a 1974 360 duster 4 speed. Guy told me it wasnt for sale, was his first car, however, he did say the 1970 cuda in the barn was for sale. so we went and looked it over, was sitting on jack stands, 340/auto car in B5 blue. fully complete, very little rust, interior in decent shape. only mechanical issue he said was reverse was out in the trans. He wanted 500 bucks for it. I had the cash, but being 17 in my state, I had to have a parential signature to buy a car...... my mom wouldnt let me because it didnt have air bags. So off I went to basic, came back, still 17, guy still had the car, well he ended up selling it to a scrapper who crushed it, 240 bucks. I should have just bought the dang thing, hid it in the woods for 7 months and been done.Do Tell....This one is a one owner 383 4spd Numbers Car...

with documented proof?what kills me (and I didn't realize it at the time) is that they didn't make a 71 340 Scamp - the guy was a retired Chrysler exec. and had been given access to any "check box" he wanted on any car... it was potentially a 1 of 1...

of course there is no way to be sure now - that was at least 30 years ago... but I remember where the car ended up and talked to the guys at the garage that got it... they just laughed - "oh, the 340 went into *** and the trans into a *** - we sent the car to the bone yard"...with documented proof?
