Stop in for a cup of coffee

we have "extended basic" - which is THE biggest crock of **** ever - because there really is no such thing as basic... oh, you can get basic, but you sure as hell wouldn't want it... let's put it this way - when "they" upgraded the system a few years ago, the new default service level became "extended basic"... we HAD basic service.. "oh - new channel line up, better more reliable service" - horseshit... just an excuse to up the monthly fees and in the long run, they took away a bunch of good stations.. my password "reminder" for the web site was and still is "******* comcast" - - funny, I never forget it.. thieves

Today is National Spaghetti Day....
Wifey is making Spaghetti and Venison Meat Balls for Dinner....:thumbsup:
What time should we ALL show up? LOL
Pasketty actually sounds good. Might have to suggest that...Don't have any Bambi, so just regular hamburg for us

is it twice baked the second time you nuke the leftovers?
LOL no. i have no idea why its called that, its in the recipe book for venison i bought at bass pro, so gonna try it

Besides Mitch's jerky I've never had venison of any sort. I hear that it can be gamey and somewhat of an aquired taste.

Yup.. She told me that yesterday... Then I turn on the Local News this morning...and they're saying today is National Spaghetti Day !!
It's like... She's clairvoyant or something...:realcrazy::realcrazy:

Nah. i hear people claiming it but I've yet to find a single person that can tell the difference when cooked up. I snuck it in 3-4 times on the wife before telling her and she never knew. Same with my sister in law and my sister's husband. About the only time I've ever detected a taste is in steaks and ribs.

a little yes - seems like folks either love it or hate it.. very rarely does someone say they are on the fence with venison (or any other game meat for that matter)

I've had it a few times , and it all tasted different, from what i understand it starts with the way it's field dressed, and there are different levels of skill involved?????

Mitch? or anyone else educate us non hunters???

yea - red meats seem to be the most obvious but I have had wild turkey and there is a definite gamey taste - very different from the stuff you get from Perdue

If its plain or minimally messed with, I can definitely tell the difference. But in a recipe, sauce etc it can be disguised.

Uhh...Yes... Definitely make sure you cut out the A$$hole and tube properly..and cut the esophagus as close to the head as possible..I hose mine out with water after I disembowel them. Then make sure you hang it long enough.. I like mine to hang for a week and a half or so..

I've had steaks, burgers, jerky, mixed sausage that was great, and some stew i just couldn't do. And one buddy has some done up that are like slim jims that are off the hook.(take his to a butcher)
