I did look at the plugs Saturday. Much cleaner. I upped the gap to 40 and made sure the wires are all in cap tight. Did not get to drive it since. Want to see what that does and then prob look at timing again. Did you adjust the mixture?
How much resistance should wires have? I think they are supposed to be suppression? The ones I have on are, but checked set I took off and they had really low resistance stance...Book says OK up to 30K, but even the new ones are nowhere near that?

Suppression wire I believe are pretty high, forget what, yes I did adjust the mixture it should be fine. If you have a vac gauge get it as high as you can, then turn it in a bit. The timing should not have moved at all.
