Those two interviews, the grueling couple hour interview last week and the other one monday..... I just got the call, the job is..... MINE!

and get this, they didn't like the salary figure I gave them. They said that was too LOW so they upped it some 16,000 more annually than I asked for.

Congrats Indeed Chris !!! I'm sure that helps a lot.. Nice to move on up....

Thanks, gonna be a slight learning curve but it should be fine. and the new place is good with that too, i made sure to show them exactly where my limit was. I didnt want to set myself up for failure or them.

Well, I managed to resolve my ethical dilemma to everyone's benefit today. I had a talk with my CEO and we decided that we can run the work for the other company through our company and make everyone happy. The other company gets what they want (and won't bad mouth me for refusing the work), my company gets an additional business relationship which will improve the stock price and while I don't get paid extra for the consulting work, I will get to do it on company time and will benefit from the improvement to the stock price.

Win, win, win!
