They are even on the cover of the '69 dealer brochure...

They were on it when I bought it to restore. Might be original...

the ones you have appeared after 73 when there was no markings so they could be used by dodge and Plymouth divisions ....after 73 was the age of standardization and so much cheaper to make one universal corporate cap than making individual caps for each division

Close enough for the look trying to be obtained 48 years later. It's not a rotisserie restoration...it's an F8 green Roadrunner wearing Sublime paint, modified 383 engine with aftermarket air conditioning rolling on modern radial tires with aftermarket power disc brakes.

Good thing about a runner is they look good in any combo

Extreme pressure will find the weak link every time. I wonder if it was a metallurgy defect?

I once had the top of a push rod snap off while I was watching a 225 slant engine running with the valve covers off. Shut the car down and inspected the piece. There was an air pocket inside the top of the stem where it broke at the cup from the manufacturing process. Funny thing was that it was an OEM pushrod...with 75k miles on it.
I suppose it didn't like working with people watching it.

And anything machined has surface defects alla over. Stamped or forged is tougher. Or shot peened.

Hi there!

My daughter is having a sleepover with a couple of friends and left her iPad at home (?). Her alarm went off at 6:10 since today is Monday. I had to get up to turn it off so the other kids wouldn't wake up eventually. I know she has at least three alarms every morning ...

Evening Mr. Ben Rick .... long time no chat.

I have been in and out and have no idea what is going on In here

Well they say ignorance is bliss, and avoid and denial and hope an issue will go away.
Thanks for opting out of helping.
