How are things on the Hill, Memi ?
Colder then a well diggers *** here, I am so ready for this cold snap to get out of here so I can get back to the shop, spent a little time out in the little shop, built a fire in my old pot belly stove and cleaned some area's up that needed to be sorted out to be moved to the big shop, had a few beers with my friends and came home and crashed early ,, that is about all going on here on the hill Mitch

8 more days of this cold here! Hell just ran out of coal, hope they can deliver today! Dam kid just told me!

It takes an hour for my gas heat to heat the shop , from 50 deg to 70 deg...:thumbsup: :poke::poke:

Hell took all day to get the shop to 53 yesterday, done in there for a while I guess.

Here's my house and our boiler. The boiler is about 4' tall and a bit bigger than a large suitcase. Hard to believe how well it works for how small it is. It heats only a gallon and a half at a time.

That sucks. I need to get downstairs and fire the woodstove up. Been doing most of the heat with that. But leave the t-stat set to kick in the heater(s). I never saw your basement...do you have an older oil fired boiler or what is the main heat besides the stove?

Uhhhh....You don't stoke yur own fire Ray ???? :poke::poke:
Leave him alone, he's rubbing the stick to stay warm!

Good Morning

You all suck.... current temp inside the shed.... 6 degres

Easy start on the woodstove this morning. Fire was out, but it was still warm. Takes a while for 634lbs of steel to cool. :thumbsup:
Oil cycled a few times to keep upstairs tstat satisfied, but basement was still nice from the stove. The oil only hits the baseboards in bathroom and laundry down there. So, it can get pretty chilly.

Keith it is a tri fuel, oil, coal, wood. I just don't trust the chimney with wood and it seriously eats oil up to heat so I don't use it very much.
