How can I safely release tension from a T bar if the head is sheared off the adjuster bolt. Planning to go back to the stripper Duster one more time tomorrow morning. Not taking chances just for a no tab LCA, but if there is an easy way...

I use to just break the lower ball joint loose while the body is up on a jack and that will take all the tension off. Then just whack the LCA off the TB with a BF hammer once the rest of the bolts on the LCA are removed.

If you have a welder, find a nut slightly larger than the bolt. Slip it over the end of the bolt and weld it, Then use a wrench to take tension off.

Hmmm. I already have the lower joint/spindle off as you said. But seams like it still has pressure down. I guess I will go ahead and get the LCA shaft nut off and see if I can knock the LCA backwards and pop the Tbar out of the crossmember.

Take a crowbar with you to pry the LCA off the bolt.

Not sure what you mean. The shaft bolt needs to move backward out of the K-frame. I'm thinking unbolt the shaft and take a 2x4 from the front and give it a few whacks. Should pop the T-bar out of the frame.

What I meant was to use the crow bar to pry the LCA down and backwards from the K frame where the bolt is. That plus the hammer will help push the whole thing back and let you apply pressure to both ends of the LCA.

Sawzall to the T bar...

Oh boy, here come the rains again. We have had over 1.5” in the past 24 hrs. Fortunately, it stops every 0.5” or so and takes a break for a few hours and the rain gets a chance to soak in.

Looks like another inch coming in the next few hours and the ground is completely saturated now. It’s all just going to run off and cause flooding. Close to 80* tomorrow so it’s going to be a steam bath.

We sure could use a good down pour. We've had some small rain showers, but nothing to really wash the roads off of all the salt.

As things are drying out furter north, fire situation worsens.

Fire bans everywhere.

Ugh...it is Monday morning in Australia and Europe and my email inbox is lighting up like a fireworks show. Switzerland, France, the U.K. and Australia are all asking for something from me at the same time.

I hate Mondays that start on Sunday night.

Sigh...off to type out a dozen emails before bed. :BangHead:

Hey Dave. Wow that's not a good way to wind down the end of a weekend.
