Last phone was even worse (Galaxy 5). I turned autocorrect off on that one. Not sure if I can do that on current one. (iPhone 6)

luckily it was not expensive, the one I ordered from Muscle Car Technologies I think the place is called. It is round. What I see that's coming apart on my Fury has a square flange. It will be easy enough to tell if the one I bought is the right size. Meanwhile I don't fill the tank too much so I don't have gas dripping (!) and so in case the tank has to be wrestled it won't be so heavy.

I really like my Fury, after you own it for some time, it doesn't feel like such a huge car. I loved my '67 but I like this '71 more and more. It drives easy and handles well. I never see another around here. The main things I don't like are the design of the cowl and firewall, the window mechanisms, and when you shut the doors you get a cheap sound. But still you can't complain too much, not many 47 year old cars are still around.

no. and that's what I'm trying to get some in my family to understand. Its all about the history for me. Sure, these rust buckets are just that, not worth much to anyone and it may not make any sense to even most cars guys (64 4 door polara) but theres just something about keeping it from being crushed. Sure I could find a 2 door, part out the 4 door, and itd be cooler. and probably cheaper/easier if i found one rust free. But that's what 95% of people would do, I'm not one to swim with the crowd and do the cool thing.
 
ok it think I need practice..
just blast a little then go back and try a few runs with tig.back and forth and keep trying until im satisfied I can try it on some body panels.
I think once I get a handle on it,work position and stinger cable are two things that are giving me grief.

I agree, Chris, 4-doors are just as worthy to preserve, the body style that has so many memories for people. And, the history is something special too. Your Polara is pert near 55 years old! To put that history in perspective, going back to say 1970, when I was ten, your car would be like seeing a 1915 model driving around, which we never did.

exactly. So far, I've found 3, 64 4 doors on mopar forums across the web being toyed with at all, 2 in full resto.

I totally get it now...why your wife wants you to keep the Polara...

Happy Labor Day to all. Only 7 hours before our Oval madness begins. :steering:No Unlimited Late Models this time around. Seems like they have fleed the scene as far as Ca is concerned, just none around anymore. No $ to make it worth their time to keep them here. I have to go to Az and get my late model fix and visit the granbrats.
