Stop in for a cup of coffee

Spent a couple hours putting the dash back together. Only thing I lost (Cheryl moved) where four of those strange shaped 50 year old nuts....no not Karl's nuts , the car's. The strange round ones with the rounded edges. None of the extra ones I had (car nuts) fit. A trip to ACE hardware.
All together except for the glove box. Going to do it after we put the heater box in.
Hopefully do it this weekend. If not next weekend.

I definitely have the smaller ones not sure about the larger ones. What size are they? Say the nut head?

Good morning :)
Fog has us covered this morning, 46 degrees and high today will be 55 degrees, rain moved in and out over night.
The day looks to be a busy one, Chemo doc wants to see me at 8:15 this morning and my wife is off work till Wednesday.
Well thats the report from the hill here in Northeast Arkansas, have a great day everyone

Palnuts
Tinnerman nuts.
Thank you. Palnuts. I was just thinking about tinnerman nuts yesterday should have kept some from the USAF we used them all the time on the gauges in the cockpits. Handy stuff instead of a nutsert.

I always save them when I strip a ca the new ones kind of suck
I do to. Any old stuff I run across always take them. I just had all small ones.
Wonder if I can find a jar of them at Carlisle?? Give me something to look for.

For the ones I was short I got some speed nuts. They didn't quite fit though. Smaller one was to small next size larger too big.
Took the smaller ones and taped a Philips screwdriver down the middle stretching it just enough.
Turned them upside down and they went right on.

They are just not the same size at all.

LOL weird request yesterday a customer called me and wants me to clean 7 distributor housings for him. No idea what to even charge. Aluminum ones that will be striped down.

I guess I am doing something right with them. He bought a rebuild about a year ago and guess he liked the finish. Hell I don't even remember what I was doing with them that long ago! Have been using aluma clean in the process also now. That stuff works great!
