Like a romano but sharper.

Her Italian is like fine art has to be just right. Take two days to make it all. Think she was up till midnight last night, but she started at 4 so go figure right. I said F it and went to bed around 9.
I figured. Mae does good lasagna, but nothing precise about the recipe. If she doesn't have something, she will wing it. Usually, works out ok, lol

She goes crazy even make small meat balls for the layers. I would just throw meat in there but then I would die! That's here thing once a year. Her mom used to make a Meat pie, was awesome sausage, salami, prosciutto, some other hard Italian sausage slice up, mozzarella and Rigato cheese. Freaking a piece would fill you up! Prob could not find the ingredients here in PA

Our families were German and Irish. Lots of good cooking, but more of the 'make amazing dishes out of a cupboard full of nothin' types.
I knew one woman that would cook like your saying. She passed a couple years ago. Shelley-Jewish from New York (Brooklyn, I believe). I know there were some things she would make that Paul would bring her back ingredients from the markets up there.

No Christmas dinner here. We took a vote and everyone agreed to going out for Chinese. Like the movie Christmas Story, the kids favorite Christmas Movie.

In that case you could have just said Keith and family, cause I'll count all of yuins as family. Better than some of the knucklehead relatives that share last names. :BangHead: Merry Christmas all.
And based on what I've read here, I think we get Ray to bring Marylin to Carlisle and she'll be our breakfast cook????
I'll nominate Cheryl to be here helper and maybe learn something!!:D
