I have never put one in before. I bought a 10pt cage kit, but will need to add a ton of bars (door bars and the engine compartment bars). Have to see how this goes
Gotta be better than what I could do.

Need to check the dirt track team down the road a ways. See what they’d want.

Bro in law isn't doing well at all. He is on morphine and they called Hospice. I will go to the hospital later this afternoon when things aren't so busy.

Yes I followed Floyd's build on that one. Very cool. I didn't have a stock car to start from, nor the means/equipment he has. I started on mine before he built his or I would have maybe went the same route.
So yet another tip. With regard to welding the top of the cage if the floor is already in I cut access squares so I can drop cage thru the floor weld the tops then raise it back up. You will need to use floor “squares” to land on to distribute load bearing with the vertical pieces anyway so it is no problem.

Thanks John. The floor is not in. Also, I want to build structure to attach directly to the frame and install the floor around the bars

Tried a few different things on the box to get the big wrinkle out. Pulled most if it, then cut off about a foot square and then beat it flat, squished in vise then worked it a little with the english wheel. Tacked it back on, added some bracing to keep it flat and called it a day.i pulled it too far, now i need to beat it back. Tomorrow.

You da man, I wish I had an english wheel, I'm sure I could mis shape some stuff with one of those!

I think I will have a sip or two before I go see my brother in law.
Yep, once they start the morphine regime it does not take long before the inevitable. Spend time with him while you can. They are just trying to make him comfortable. So many of us on here are at the age where we have experienced that a time or two. Certainly does not make it any easier. We are praying for your family and will burn sage.

Let's see, at $8,500 per unit I guess I'll take them all......since they're probably the only one's in existence. Not saying they aren't rare but what did you think of that price? That wasn't even Ebay
The box itself around a grand tops NOS the dist around the same nos
