Tomorrow’s surgery day for me… Need to be there 11AM. Just had to toss in some ugly weather between now and then. Early comute looks treacherous. But should be ending in time for them to pave the roads with salt before we roll out.

Have a safe trip Keith and hope the surgery goes well.
Fender out of the way, Avalanche battery exchanged for warranty, it goes dead on the bench in 2 weeks.
Cleaned up some stuff, scrap in the old dumptruck. Brought in the wheel kit for the hoist, will move it tomorrow. Brought in more pellets too. Too much walking back and forth. Meds arent really working like they were..

Nice break between storms. No sunshine to speak of, but the 40mph gusts of yesterday are non-existant

I saw an article yesterday about the move of activities from Bakersfield Speedway to Kern County Raceway Park/Kevin Harvick's Place For Fun. The family that owned Bakersfield determined that the needed improvements at the track were not fiscally advantageous. KCRP gets a dedicated dirt track group to operate their dirt track. Needless to say lots of folks will miss the old Okie Bowl 
.
Those bleachers there, they're not really bleacher seats, giant concrete steps. Pit area top of the photo, parking area at the lower end. We frequently parked on the shoulder of the road across from the ticket booth. KCRP is out in the middle of the boondocks but the facility itself is more modern.
They also have a Moto-X track on the property

Good to hear. It is supposed to be freezing rain starting at 0100 here and done by 0900.

Think we should all pitch in and make Pete a special cane to help him get around.
Maybe a cane with a tennis shoe on the bottom and a pistol grip to hang on to.
Not bad stuff. Garlic Herb Shrimp Fettuccine. Lauren get's them sent here from Home Chef Recipes. Some fancy dishes. All have been good so far.
