Stop in for a cup of coffee

It must be the weather. My left ankle has been giving me fits. When I came downstairs this morning it went out and damn near dumped me on the floor. I couldn't put weight on it for an hour. Better now. I think it's my lower back. I'll try to get into the chiro. this afternoon. My lower back issues have a lot to do with problems with my lower extremities.
EWWWWW .. My ankles used to throw me on the ground for no reason frequently. Clear, dry, flat ground, "Hey! Alex is getting too comfortable with us! Lets wake him up!:soapbox:" Next thing I know I'm on the ground.

Now that would be weird. I rolled one of my ankles real bad in 2003, just hope when this heals it isn't cumulative but think it could be.

Yeah, I saw that yesterday. That's a really popular recreation area too. Lucky no civilians were harmed.
When I was stationed on 32nd street I had a buddy who liked to marathon, we'd go out to Mission Beach, think the boardwalk, eye candy was great but a lot of people to maneuver around for a 6 mile run, think that may have been North of where this crash happened, not sure.

I broke my left ankle when I was a kid (a cow stepped on it) and I have severely sprained it twice. The last few months, I have been putting my weight on the outside of my foot when I walk, like my ankle is not straight with my leg. WTF is going on here? I have been to the Dr too much lately, I want to stay away for a while.

I think that's where the amusement park is or was, been a while since I was in that part of SD  Belmont Park. I think The Boardwalk went right past it next to the beach.

Rarely happens when you are actually doing something that you would expect to cause a problem. Ankle, knee, hip... All works out about the same.. Just walkin along minding your own business and..... Kinda how my nerve pain started. No issue day before stacking wood and stuff. Wake up and walk down the hall. Bam! Like someone stabbed me in the back of my shoulder blade. :wtf:

No doubt. That's what got me the 8" scar on my knee, just walking to my motorcicle and down I went. Sounded like a gunshot, so I knew i had real issues there.

Not that it makes much difference at those temps, but are we talking C or F? I know Frank is ususally C.

Good Morning

If I remember correctly, -40° C is equal to -40° F...

I do remember correctly..

1° F is just under 2° C... 1.8 to be exact...

Thanks. Unfortunately there is no 'fast' lane on this. It's slow or slower' So I'm hoping for regular slow. I have a great surgeon and expect the spine repair will do fine. Just hoping it actually fixes the nerve pain problem I started with. I've dealt with other nerve pain before and they can take a long time.

Are you trying to say the doctor got on your nerves???

Hah! On weekend I make a big ole batch of oatmeal then put it in Tupperware in fridge so I can have oatmeal all week! I love oatmeal with walnuts and blueberries with a splash of honey! Berries are seasonal tho! Jodi sometimes gets lazy on weekdays and eats my oatmeal for lunch! Which kinda irks me on occasion when I get a hankering for oatmeal in the morning and find out she cleaned me out day before at lunch! Hah!

When she puts something in the fridge to save it, do the same to her...

Wife may be dragging me down to Urgent Care for second opinion on my ankle, was swollen bigger than it's been yet last night. I think it's because I wasn't wearing my splint even though I wasn't trying to walk on it or put any weight on it, maybe it was moving enough dunno.

Your ankle looks big...

That's my opinion... I just saved you a doctor trip...

It's a balmy -5° here. Pretty calm but -12° wind chill. Clear sky and the sun is shining bright. I need to get out and move 6" of snow. I'll do it in stages, may be 20 min at a time. I've got a couple fingers that don't have much circulation any more. They get very cold quick, turn white and hurt like hell regardless of what gloves I wear. Tomorrow it's supposed to get up to the upper 20's but windy and chance of more snow. May be get over to Andy's hou and clear some snow there tomorrow. I'll deal with that when it comes.

If your fingers start to get too cold, make HUGE fast arm circles with your arms straight to get the blood flowing back to them... It may hurt a little, but better than getting frostbite...
