With our livestock law here, if they are abandoned and I feed them in excess of thirty days they are now mine. Four malnourished and one colt. They are feral!
Five more to add to your already busy day, they should be good for another 2-3 hours a day.

Here in the northern most of the state, not worried about the rain much, but it's the high winds reaching 40 miles an hour, I call it trimming season for mother nature, be careful walking out and about under trees next couple days @Sublime one
Weve had a few days of that recently. Some good size branched laying down back right now. Would have been a bad place to be while they were falling... I actually feel a lot safer walking under trees after a gusty day does some 'natural pruning'.

If 9 This is true. Lots of commitment to have all of that. Probably will never happen, just things to think about
I rode a lot. Just about every night after work. Having the hay burners right out back versus boarding them was great. Arizona was perfect for feed as well. They grow hay year round out there. I could also ride out the back of the pasture into the desert and go for miles. If I had to trailer them to get to a trail, I think it would be too much of a PITA

Yep, me to, two years ago here we lost a city Sheriff that retired that year, he was walking looking for sheds (deere antlers) and it was most likely this time of year

Morning, weather gurssers missed big time calling for blizzard warnings. Have the wind but not the snow.
Nice today. Past 40 going on 60 with sun peeking through the clouds... Then tomorrow its T-storms with winds continuing the following day. Oh well. typical roller coaster weather here.

That sucks. Why I won't mow the back under trees (especially near the walnuts in fall) when it's windy.

Agree, and the same ride here

Jodi and I are having that conversation now. It would be very easy to feed them thirty days and then get them to someone who would actually cherish them. Meth heads just suck. I keep rooting for Team Darwin!

Thieving and cooking got rid of one of my naybors two years ago

These sites are getting slow. Facebook is blazing fast so I know it's not on my end.

scoop of sweet mix a day and some good hay- alfalfa will take the Farel out of them quick. Then you can move them around and get close to them. Meth heads probably won't notice them gone.
