Getting all coffeed up, and showerd for the big day tie the cam and crank gear together, I triple check before I do, got 1 and six plugs out, we all know 6 fallows number one on the top dead center stroke, crazy but making sure the cam and crank is very happy before I install my cover and water pump, then on to another paint wirh assembly lube, then installation of the ballancer, intake and center grill.. yeah , I know the coffee crew is happy this morning :thumbsup:.

So off to the shop with a tall cup and eyes wide open, enjoy your day everyone, I am going to give it my all and make my boys proud.

Man that is just great news, so glad the new shop is working out so well for him.

O man, that just suks. I would look at calling in some air support @lkopaska that is just such a kick in the nuts. I remember when I was building the Cuda I had some similar repetitive type issues . At one point I had it pushed out of the shop matches in hand. Sometimes ya just gotta walk away for a bit.
Threw the cover on it. That SOB is in time out!

Morning spring has arrived .

Not a easy task at all. Especially without a A&P license every step has to be looked at by I think the FAA? Buddy did a Kitfox in HI.
Many inspections. There is a small airport here, and a few businesses that maintain aircraft. Hes getting the required certifications during the build process. Having aircraft mechanic buddys helps too.

We had aircrft repair at tech school back in the 70's. It was always fun to walk through the shop and see what they were working on.

Morning gang

Well, back to the drawing board...rewind 2 years and I'm pulling the transmission out. This time, low gears, no upshift. Thought it might just be high band and kickdown and throttle adjustments but there is a bit of a growl/grind in there as well which could be front pump or other malfunction. Last time I went FAFO I broke my 225, so out she's gotta come. It'll be a couple of weeks before I get to it though. First, because I'm emotionally crushed and pissed....second is that I have a few other things around the house to tend to before I dive into that.

Thinking I should just rebuild that other core that I have and do a swap.

Been looking at the A904 rebuild kits online. So hard to tell what will or won't work for the 64 typewriter version.

Looking at this one from Oregon Performance Transmission A904 Rebuild Kit A998 A999 Automatic Transmission Master Overhaul Banner Box Set Torqueflite 6

Anyone have an option that worked for them? I'm not smart enough to do a bit by bit order from A&A. The kit is way simpler for me as opposed to trying to match up disparate parts.

@lkopaska @RustyRatRod
I'm a poor source of advice for those early transmissions, as the only experience I have with them is general service. .....well, that and yanking them for their more modern counterparts. lol

Have one similar to that. Can't get any movement even if I finagle it onto the bolt.
I've never messed with a Hillside Hemi. I can imagine it isn't fun. They should have designed a crossflow head and put the exhaust on the underside. The intake and distributor could be on the drivers side. That would be handy.
