went and scrapped some of the carbon off the ridge in the block.. it's not bad at all. just enough to catch a nail on. I tried to cancel the reamer.. will put the money into a cam bearing install tool.. gonna try to get the block into a shop next week sometime

When I primed the 383 in the Charger, Shell Rotella T 15w40 conventional oil, I saw 80psi with just the drill. Also when running.

first time I primed a rebuilt engine, my first 340, I think I had 20W50. when it started pumping, it slammed my hand and drill into the firewall. plus, the oil filter adapter leaked.

hahah yeah.. when i primed my motor i was like OMG... i switched to 30w once and the lifters got noisy.. but i can't leave 50 in there eating up that gear.. will play with lash if i have to
