Only salt gets put down possible 2 times a year here, and sometimes zero. We use a red/brown sand on areas that need it, very cold weather and ice snow we do brake that salt thing out.

Last week I took a load of automotive parts to the automotive core guy. I had 900 lb worth of brake rotors and drums and some other stuff. They pay $0.10 a pound for rotors and drums .Collected 175 bucks. That was a load. Guess I hadn't been in like 10 months or more.. Good Morning

If it's in sight, it's on our mind, I really don't like seeing my steal pile my sons, wife and I gather the all of last summer into spring, its got to go or filled in a box marked keep, then put in my stash in my small garage.. now that I think about that, I need to go out there and rethink that stuff.. hmmm, who knows what's all out there from the last 4 years.

soo.. just curious.. any of you guys ever have a master cylinder that flexes up and down when you are on/off the brakes.. my firewall seems to flex and i am trying to figure out why..

That's pretty normal on older cars Ice.....
yeah the end of my MC will go up and down like 1/4" i went to a guys house that races a 62, has the same setup as me and you could 2 foot his brakes and the mc didn't move.... i had a neighbor hit my brakes last night so i could see what's going on and i saw the firewall flexing in this area.. I just don't see how that won't crack over time.. it's not a lot of flex.. but still..

yeah.. i have a service manual but i don't trust the thing.. it's for 1962 plymouths but has flanged axles and nothing at all about tapered axles which is all there was in 62.... so.... i think it might be bad :)
