I have a brake lathe, wheel counter balancer, and 2 valve machines sitting at my MIL's....................
They are cool, but I don't see much use for them nowadays other than as conversation pieces or garage art.

I can definitely see a use. Especially on hard to find stuff, like drums on certain d/w series Dodge trucks. Course finding a good core is just as rare it seems.
Then there’s the fact that most new stuff off the shelf is out of spec and needs turned to begin with. No one around here turns them, gotta drive an hour min to a shop that does

Here is the thing with that disk and drums should always be trued before installing. 80% of the time they are off from warping while sitting. No one does it today.

Boy that generator we looked at yesterday was brain dead/confused. Even with hard reset is throwing alarm on interior ann panel, it will start now and did so when shore power was removed but the tech plus the Cummins rep need to come back with a new control board and replace/program it
