Stop in for a cup of coffee

Just came back from lunch and shopping. 90% lean beef 4.69 pound, Ham sliced 3.59, chicken breast 4.99. Not horrible till I filled the R/T 4.01 gallon 93

same the last few years then :( Same here also.. keeps bouncing between 2.80 and 3.30.. which is odd... gas was supposed to be super cheap starting bout 4 months ago :(
Ice, We can all read between the lines here, in what you are saying today. It took 4 yrs to F it all up, or more. So it may take a while to fix it all, And then we will all be "Winning".....:)

I'm all for Winning! Just not when it's 1 guy getting all the bribes who's winning.... i kinda miss having the best economy in the world is all.. (not talking politics, just economics) :)

So.. doing reading seems a vacuum leak can make a car want crazy timing.. think before i tear into my motor i'm gonna make a smoke machine to pump into the intake and look for a bad leak.. no misses/hesitation or anything though.. but easier to check than taking the motor apart

Although i don't see how a vacuum leak would let a motor start without any kickback at 40-45* timing... this is really bugging me

4.99 x1.35 for exchange is 6.74 cdn per gallon.
4 litres of gas today,$5.38 for regular gas. 4 LT is slightly more than a gallon. I know we are all getting ripped off, but-Damn…

Buddy showed up with his 70 impala convertible. Running bad. Of idle/midrange was poopy. I tried my jet cleaning trick, snap throttle wide open and pull choke closed.
Re-adjusted idle mixture and base idle and all is good. For now. I take it apart about every 2 years and clean it. Guess i should mention to him i havent cleaned mine since i installed it. Different gas stations.

3.78 liters to a gallon. Gasoline is higher in Viet Nam than America, but has stayed stable for 5 or 6 years now. For Ron III which I believe is their high test. 25,000 dong per liter last I saw. Thats about .96 cents USD per liter. Gallon would be $3.63 per gallon USD. Good news there is, the average motorbike only holds about 4 liters, and they normally only fill up once a week.....

I have to head out this evening and get another 10 quarts of transmission fluid.

What was the issue with the truck that you had to mess with, Mitch?
Well, the driver's door and the left side passenger door were damaged at the bottom from a previous accident. Nobody wanted to buy it that way. So I bought two used doors and painted them to match the truck and put them on. Not so bad. But the real issue was when I bought it. She told me the transmission had issues but I drove it for 100 mi with no issues. Then it rained a lot and then I also cleaned the engine compartment and sprayed it out with water. That's when the transmission issue started. But it was a communication issue between the TCM and the vehicles computer. I found out that the connection to the TCM must have been wet or getting wet. So I took it all apart. Cleaned it with electronic cleaner and used dielectric grease to reconnect it along with the vehicles. ECM as well. Then it sat here in my garage for 5 months with no rain on it. In the last few weeks. I have driven it another 100 mi with no issue. So it's gone now and if the guy has an issue with it and calls me, I will help him..

Nice

Yeah, intermittent stuff is a pain. The rain helped find it, so that's cool

Afternoon, just got to Cortez for the final walk through before closing. We got 2 more inches of rain and hail, just pea size but about 4 inches deep on the road this morning.
