Stop in for a cup of coffee

been doing some measuring on that 63 Fury and in order to get the hood to line up right the gap between the core support and left front fender is enormous. Nothing is bent and the core support and fender are right so no problem there.
I refuse to shim that much so I'll give it some thought and try to be creative on making it look right.

My old work mate and mentor had a SC Dragster and I used to go to Famoso and help. We always had National Dragster mags layin' around the batch shack. One of the early West Coast Hot Rod Reunions had a big ad in there one year for the show and had "Premium" tickets available that included a Santa Maria Style BBQ lunch. "Let's give it a try." we figgured. Sittin' in the bleachers the smoke from the BBQ was very tempting. The crew that was doing it was well prepared. Two double axle mounted trailer pits in stainless steel  a reefer trailer for storage, big tent set up with tables and chairs. We get in line. When we get to the pit I had to ask "So where did you guys learn to BBQ?". "Fresno" was the bbq technician's response. Jack and I just looked at each other "We're f@#ked" we thought . We were right! Just meat with some grill marks :BangHead: "We don need no steenkin' bbq rub!"

So are you saying it was good without all the rub ? Just tender and juicy? Isn't Fresno in California?

It was just warm meat with grill marks, no flavor at all. Would have made good Tri Tip sandwiches if there was enough salsa available. Yeah Fresno is over in the San Joaquin Valley about 3 hours from here. Fresno peoples come over here to the coast for relaxing time. Beach people don't go to Fresno unless absolutely necessary

Wow!! Was hopping on 3 yes answers, that's not good, I bet 90 percent of the people wished they would have got free tickets.

Spray foam....

See it all the time in the Wally parking lot

looking at all the food is making me hungry. the one banana and glass of water isn't cutting it. time to rummage in the fridge and see what I can put together. and today starts (and hopefully continues) "do I really need to save this?" clean up. my "cave" is stacked with boxes and it's always a surprise to see what is inside. didn't know I had so many Hot Wheels and Matchbox in cartons. gonna be fun. I'll check in later if I don't get buried by an avalanche.

Time for me to get busy. I'll check in later. I need to check out a SES light on on my truck. Ever since I drove it home in a 45 min. torrential downpour a few days back. Get out the scan tool.
