Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hows the new house site going?
Driveway base layer is completed along with the install of both new culverts over two different ditches. Driveway contractor pulled out yesterday. Will be back once rest of house is completed to top fill with gravel after the heavy equipment further packs down the base layer.

We do have a slight delay that no one can control. The unusually high amount of rain we have had this year has swelled the ground water layer. So the county won’t let us install the septic until that dries out. But that’s okay for now. 6-8 weeks from being ready to move in anyway

Water and electric meter installation happens Monday. This coming weekend I rented a mini excavator to dig a trench for the lines. I’m also going to drain and clean out the debris in my little pond.

Good Morning All! Checked mail at house, had a pile, included was the Mopar Collectors Guide with Eric @71GSSDemon article in it, nice read. To my surprise the wife wants to go see it run, she does have a "side trip" she wants to do, that's fine!

Yeah. Remc gave me the option, install cost was actually nearly the same, couple hundred bucks difference, so I said yeah, underground all the way. They’re even boring under the road
Document the crap out of where those lines are if you don't already have that in the plans. Tracer wire, measurements, photos, you can never have too many. I was surprised at how many times in the short amount of time that came into play for me on our build.

Yep. We’re buying the main line, plus fiber internet and tracer wire all at the same time. Same trench. Plan is have a a map drawn up and attached to the deed at the recorders office.

I learned my lesson about that after my grandfather passed. When he passed, only one other person on the planet knew where every single electric, septic and water line on the farm were. And considering they were laid out like a spider web, it was bad. I’d tell my parents and siblings where the lines were, they wouldn’t believe me, then they’d hit the f-ing things… finally after about 3 busted lines and pipes, they started listening.

See, everytime the farm got a new building, they’d run new water and electric in a new trench. Don’t ask me why, I would have gone building to built but I digress.

They can be nasty on the shoreline. In HI we used to go tailgating up on a road with a ton of people waiting for it to hit. They are saying five feet, which means all the ocean will raise five feet which is alot.

May be too early but here's a start. 71 Duster, 904. Future, X heads or J heads with 2:02 intakes. Carb/cam is something yet undetermined, probably not FI, streetable, looking for no more than 400 hp (904 trans)
That will be starting with a core.

I saw where it already hit at 3 feet in Maui

Any tsunami out your way
Haven't heard any stories of areas with warnings. Called daughter in Bellingham since there's a warning there, she's pretty inland, thanks for asking. Our house is at 420 feet and we're on a hill here in the rental on Redwing, not sure Whidbey Island is on alert.

We’ve been overdue for a big one. Kind of makes me wonder if it’s connected to the swarms out there at Mount Rainer and Mount St Helens
