Hard as I try to not take any repair jobs....My Widow neighbor called me from the road yesterday with an emergency. She said the car was making a crazy noise in the back when driving forward. But not in reverse. She asks " Can I drive it home? " I'm like No,No,No don't do that. She was downtown Wash. D.C. at the time so it was hours before it showed up on a rollback. Got it up and found a bolt had come out where the caliper bracket bolts to the wheel hub. WTF ??? Caliper was swinging up and contacting the inside of the wheel itself...Pretty quick fix, and I used loctite to secure the new bolt better. I even took the other side apart and loctited it....
I knew that was going to happen when you said no more work but your a good person to go and fix her car anyway great call Mitch now go and pack for Lynda have a good time

Just spent half a day installing new seat belts in Dart I feel safer now just took a cruise to see how they feel

My buddy Mopar Joe just pulled up to Jeff's shop. He has a couple 70 Super Bee's (just partial shells and misc parts) he needs to sell. The wheeler dealer meets the wheeler dealer. This will be fun to see how this plays out.

I think Ted needs to come down for a taste this afternoon. With this cold thing and chewing on cough drops, I can't imagine anything will taste all that good to me.

A friend put injection on his small block Camaro. What a pain. They are designed to idle or be WFO.
Having spent numerous weekends at Famoso with my work mate Jack and his SC Dragster, BBC or Rodeck, injected I learned that mechanical injectors on the street would be a total nightmare  . Watching 100s of Sprint Cars getting push started helped too  I saw an early Fury I think it was at Pismo Car Show, injectors through the hood and license plates . I went and checked it out.
They were not injectors, but an air filter made by Garlits to resemble injectors and cover your 4 bbl carb and manifold. Looked real from a distance.

Just like Christmas. A care package ftom Az. from the guy that owned my Polara.

speaking of the above, asked insurance how to lower house insurance. update electrical was the reply. and how do I do that? I replaced all switches and outlets when we moved in. already has breakers. want all the wiring replaced? and don't start on the "roof is more than ten years old"! nevermind they are "supposed" to be 25 year shingles and ALL the decking was replaced. thank-you for listening.
I don't know when liberty mutual came around here but I got a letter. A dead tree has to go and back steps must be replaced. I knew those things. No renewal until.

Lookie what I got a ride in today, and it can burry the speedometer really fast. 440 10:1 pistons and Edelbrock RPM heads. Sweet ride and a cool tach.
