Stop in for a cup of coffee

How long will Spam survive in a can?
I dunno but we once ate spam three meals a day every single day for thirty days or thereabouts. I do not think it possible to cook spam in a form or fashion I have not had. I cannot eat it to this day, I can smell it from 1/2 mile out. It got so bad we even made up a song about Spam. Sample PC verse

Up on the mountain, Living in the cave, fighting, f***ing and spam is all I crave.

I see the bus is banging the ditch on both sides of the road yesterday. Keep up the good work!
WOW! that's great!
I replaced some wires in the furnace and used hi-temp wire from Home Depot. the others were not burned thru but had some crispy critter stuff going on with the insulation. Hmm, might be a good summer project.

Morning!
-10, cold enough. Furnace not running and pellet stove is doing a fantastic job. I opened furnace to discover a wire burned off one element. So i will pull element, make sure its ok before i replace wire. Heavier gauge and heavy duty terminals may prevent it happening again. Spade terminal on a snap disc, my concern is the snap disc is bad. Way overpriced and no stock in town. I checked with my local electchicken and he has to bring them in.

How ya feeling Frank? You getting some stamina back? Are ya actually following the Docs direction?

Oh I know that. I have been there and tried a lot of different things and I was just sitting here remembering that time. I was on a survival trip back in the 1900's
Survival trip? The top two have to be Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon and Rush 2112! Wait are we talking about the same kind of trip?
Hehehe

Funny thing about real actual hunger, your pallet becomes very wide!
At Bragg, stumbled across a T- ration tin of pound cake while out on patrol. It had been burned over during some brush fire.

The tin was about the dimensions of a baking sheet.... a couple pounds at least

I ate the hell outta that thing.

For you deer people- note deer not dear. Had a doe running around in front yard last evening after dark. Running like young fawns when they play around or like a frustrated horny buck. Ever seen this before?
Yup. Our front yard is shaped like a bowl, and for some reason the deer seem to think it's a playground. Drives the dogs nuts.

I'll try to get a video of it sometime.

No none of that. It was one of those trips based on Military survival. Live off the land if you can. Nothing like what you military guys have gone through. I was testing my abilities to see if I could survive. I live in a very rural area and figure if the chit hits the fan I need to be ready. I have what I think is a funny story about that.

I went on one in1966. Still trying to find my way home .
There's a song or three in there .
Lots of fun stops on the way.

I met this lady and we went out for dinner and she said she was a Prepper and part of a National group. She tried to convince me that I needed to be a part. I tried to explain I wasn't interested. I said if you have 50 people the government will send 300 and wipe you out. I said as an individual running through the Mountains I will not be a threat to "them". So second date was outt on the mt. where I showed her plants to make a salad. Birch to drink. wild onions...everything and she was astounded. Then I told her my prepper club is just me and not looking for members.

Just ordered it. The other one quit too. The supply store was closed for the day yesterday and they didn't have one so had to order it
Well, shee-it! Supposed to get pretty cold here today, and I imagine it will be that way for you tomorrow. Hopefully it will come in soon.....

Stay warm, buddy!
