Stop in for a cup of coffee

It's a Chevy thing. (and a few Mopar guys that don't know any better)
The day I went to Walker Valley with sons to ride quads a burb with super low profile street tires, slammed, F-tard hood had came down into this parking area, he could not get out and wasn't even towing a trailer, I winched him up the hill and out of the parking/trailhead area.

The roller coaster weather for Christmas Day is calling for 40 degrees.
Haven’t checked the forecast for here yet, but I’m hoping for some of the same. Went out and cleaned off the driveway yesterday afternoon (the dusting we got overnight Friday), and slipped and fell three times on the ice that has built up on the hill. Feeling really sore today, but if the temp gets up there I’ll need to get out there and scrape.

Fun day.

A few weeks ago I helped a neighbor move a new lathe into his shop. It was a complete PITA, as he doesn’t know “jack” about lifting and moving heavy things, and I bitched about it on FABO here somewhere.

Anyway, yesterday he dropped this off:

It’s REALLY nice, and my wife is afraid to use it.

I have a dirt driveway and it’s almost glare ice. I have those ice cleats stretched over my shoes to walk down to mailbox and shop. Been a year since I broke ankle and don’t want to go through that again

That just adds to my frustration, Pete! I have the same spike things that can be added to my boots, and my wife told me to put them on.

But did I? Nope!

One of the times I fell I landed on the “plow” shovel and broke it. Used the plastic welder to fix it last night, but I don’t know how well it’s going to hold up.

And I’m thinking we may tear up the driveway and add some Class 5 to the low areas coming up to the house so we don’t have that awful hill, so I may have a gravel driveway as well sometime this spring.

Don’t know if this adequately conveys the steepness of the hill, but it’s all I can get at the moment.

Also, I’m in my early 60’s, and I can’t help but think how much of a PITA it’s going to be to keep that driveway safe and ice free so I don’t hurt myself when I’m 70, 75, 80….

Gotta come up with Plan B soon.

Dang it. Watch yourself. I am still healing up from my wipe out.

Good morning everyone
Need to get out of the house today. Do something. Have my boy take me to the store I think.
