I'm expecting the dogs to break into the bedroom, any time now. Sun is almost up, so it's play time. One of my gsd's has an ear infection, only way he'll take the meds is if I give him a walk afterwards. I can use the exercise.

Speaking of walking Jodi is up to a couple laps around the house right at 24hrs post hip replacement surgery. She is a bit loopy from the meds but doing well, still bossy even tho she is pumped full of meds and can’t hardly move. Seizing the moment I asked for and got permission to buy a new blaster but she drew the line at a hooker? I think clearly I need to give her one more pain pill and rephrase my request! Hah!

Went for a walk yesterday. I think the fresh air and cold wind was too much. Had to nap when back and felt off all night after. Taking it easier today.

I don't know what's worse. Cleats to put the trash out, or getting woke up at 4am by the trash truck, picking up the dumpster. (Yes, 4AM!)
I can still get a tan by picking up the mail from the box. 300 feet is about right. Tho California's rain
is supposed to arrive here, sometime today or tomorrow.

I can still get a tan by picking up the mail from the box. 300 feet is about right. Tho California's rain I'd supposed to arrive here, sometime today or tomorrow.

Sure enjoyed the weather in Quartzite a few weeks ago. I'm going back next winter, I hope anyway.

New cartridge came in for the jukebox, and like an idiot I tried installing it on the tonearm in its normal “play” position.

And promptly broke off one of the pins soldered to the tiny little 34 AWG wires, said pin dropping down into the mechanism somewhere….

If I had only taken the 30 seconds to remove the tonearm pivot bolt and flip it over, as seen here:

Looks like there may be no jukebox for Christmas this year, as I don’t think I have any more clips.

That's what we used to do when I was a kid, at my grandparents house. We used to stuff about 15 people into a tiny little eat-in kitchen to enjoy an Old World traditional meal (both of my grandparents were first generation Czechs), and afterwards we would sit around the table and sing Christmas carols by candlelight. Absolutely perfect and magical memories, if I do say so, and I really miss those times.
