Thanks, Bob. I'm ok driving on ice, but like most people here...It's the other guy(s) out there on the road with me that I worry about.Morning everyone! Jim, glad you made it to work okay. Hope weather doesn't change and you get stuck there! Was awake much earlier to feed birds/animals and take out garbage. Had a snack, watched one episode of McHale's Navy then laid down to rest my eyes. Two hours later, got up and brought in garbage cans and restocked bird food. Using real estate in the hallway to clear a spot for one third of our old sofa I took apart. Looks like it will fit if I'm able to lift it over all the obstacles still in the way. I may then sit down and try it out, either for reading or a nap. Keep warm and safe everybody!
Frosty arrived late!<~~~ got the munchies for a breakfast burrito this morning. After backing out of the garage and making his way down the street he noticed the neighbor's car had a sparkly coating on the horizontal surfaces. Nearby roof tops had a similar coating. View attachment 1716493621

Plastic sure gets brittle in cold weather. Spring will be here in 4 months, I hope.I finally got into my pick up and Lauren's Buick. The doors were frozen. Remote start may have helped a little but tea pots full of hot water seemed to do the trick. I had to do some prying on the Buick. Damn plastic door handles! Good it's an old beater. I have them both running with the heat on high now.

Said that jokingly to the Company Commanders driver when I was stationed in Korea (F-ing cold there)... He was complaining that there was ice covering the windshield.
