Stop in for a cup of coffee

That can't be good  Whole lotta sireens heading for Hwy 1. Vandenberg SFB commuter or a farm worker in a ditch nearby.
Nope. Wanted to post some sort of wise-*** comment about the ditch, but that would be heartless if someone has been hurt.

Or maybe it’s just that I’m seeing things a little bit differently now. Doc mentioned something about “2nd concussion syndrome” (or something like that) the other day, and how it can be fatal, and I’m walking like Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett show when I go outside now.

That technology is going around.

Ugh well there went the good week.

Got a phone call from the wife of one of the finest officers I’ve ever served under. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Marines , did a pair of tours to Iraq with them. Then joined the Army Guard and went OCS to get his commission, which is where I met him. He was later my CO on a 3 month training mission where we trained the Ambassador to Iraq and his security detail before he went overseas. Anyway, his wife called me , he took his own life . He will be missed.

Rest his soul. Peace to his family and friends.

My sincere condolences, both to you, as well as to his family.

If you were ordering a gift for someone and there is another item suggested during checkout that you could add at a discount, would you expect it to be delivered WITH the primary item on the date you had selected?

This is a post from me from FBBO. I just figured this out this morning.

"I found my carb kit receipt. It was a 2280. It was a late 70's and early 80's slant 6 2 barrel. It works well and runs good but not big enough.   I might look around for a cast 4 barrel intake. I have a 650 AVS II that should work well on it."

Kinda remember you having carb problems. What would be the difference on a 6 to 8 on a rebuild kit?

The kit fits the carb. Most people would put a V8 carb on a slant 6 but not the other way around. I wonder how small the carb is? Just a couple hundred cfm I believe. It might get real good mileage though.

I'm surprise of the difference but I'm no carb guru. I figured it was all in setting the carb for the size of the engine.
Think I'll stick to sanding mud.
