Im pretty excited about my la small block stroker build. Its a 360 with scat cast crank with their I beam rods and Wiseco forged dish pistons . Its going to be premium pump gas friendly and around 10.2 to 1 compression. Cam is from Hughes Engines specs are .576 intake .587 exhaust with 1.6 roller rockers and shafts from Hughes engines as well .Duration is 238 intake and 242 exhaust on a 110 lsa and 106 centerline. Timing gear and chain is a nice double roller from Hughes as well plus their timing chain tensioner. Went with a Pro Pruducts harmonic balancer SFI approved. Going with a set of Pro Comp heads that will flow 275 cfm at .550 and around 205 cfm on the exhaust. They will have a nice 5 angle valve job and well blended with great port speed . Im using a Air Gap intake and will probably top with a Holley HP 750 double pumper carb. This will be going in my full bodied 72 Dart with manual brakes , manual steering and 3.55 gears. I plan on calling Dynamic to get a matching converter. Car is mini tubbed and springs moved in right now it has 325/50/15 Nitto drag radials but they are just a hair to wide they rub in turns. I think the combo should be good for 500+ on both torque and HP. Should be a blast to drive on the street and hold its on at the track...So hows my combo sound anyone have a similar build with hp and torque numbers ...track time.

Ought to run pretty good.

I'd go larger on the carb, a true 950HP.

A 950 holley is smaller then a 850

A "TRUE" 950 is not smaller. Reading is fun-d-mental!

Wonder why some don't respond much anymore. Here you go.

Get a 80805 holley, not an 80496!

You're welcome...

I know a true 950 is bigger just seems he was offended by my mention of that

When I mention a TRUE 950 and you say a 950 is smaller than an 850... you don't come off too bright or fixin to stir the pot! Have at it.

Good luck with your engine.

Didn't even see u said true 950 my bad on that ...I seen 950 and went from there just read it quick...I was thinking bigger just wasnt sure if I'd suffer driveablilty on the street as I intend to put a lot.of street miles on it

Wait for the cfm calculator crew to get here. LOL

A 4" arm isn't going to suffer from drivability! Get the carb dialed in and it will work fine. 1050 dominators can work well on the street in the right hands!

I run this, a true 1100 CFM on a 360, if you have the right supporting eqipment and know how to tune... Go BIG!

The combo is similar to my old 408, 10.9-1, Edelbrocks that flow close to 300 on the intake side, Hughes flat solid, 260/264 @ .050", .628/.633", Hughes 1.6 rockers, Victor intake and a 950HP. With 4.10 gears and a converter that flashed 5000 it ran 6.70 in street trim at 3260#.

With a 4" crank there is no reason to run a dual plane intake and a 950HP is just right. They just need some tuning to get the cruise afr right.
