Looking at adding subframe connectors to my 72 duster. I will need to replace the floor pan (still undecided if I'm doing the entire pan or just both sides sections). I would like to add subframe connectors while I have the pan out. Would prefer not to cut the new floor for the subframe connectors. What size subframe connectors would be best to install without having to notch/cut the floor?

1.5x3 0.120 wall tube will fit and if cut right, fit over the rear frame rale. Problem is the gap between the connector and the floor.

otherwise, the US Car Tool connectors are really nice but way more work to weld in since they form a boxed connector by using the floor as part of the box. If done well, they can "look factory"

If you're replacing your floor, take the floor out first.... don't be a dumbass like me, build an entire cage, then decide to take the floor out. That in itself is a lot of work.
After rereading the op post, us car tools sfc's after you do the floors, fresh metal will be nice to weld on.
