I just finished Killing the killers by Bill O' Riley, my second book by him ive read, I found it very good
The other book I finished before that was "Educated", written by Tara Westover.
Wow, this is a must read, true story. Incredible what this young lady went through and accomplished
Im getting away and enjoying real life, true stories, also biographies as well as some historical events.
Your turn now

“Nine Years Among The Indians” by Herman Lehman.

It is his story of being taken by Indians as a child and absorbed into their cultures (Apache and Comanche).

It offers a tremendous insight into their daily life and how their culture clashed with the white man’s culture. He simply recounts his experiences, without being judgmental.

His story includes what life for him was like after being returned. He was considered by the Comanche to be one of them and was allowed to live on the reservation if he wanted to.

Powerful observations about two uniquely different cultures.

It's a classic and you may have been forced to read it in school (depending on your age) but Travels with Charley in Search of America by John Steinbeck is always a great summer re-read. Gets the wanderlust pumping.

Any of the early Carl Hiassen novels with Bill Montalbano are hilarious and a good light beach read. Same with Coyote Blue by Chris Moore.

Back in the world of nonfiction, Randall E Stross wrote an interesting one called eBoys. He was embedded in a Silicon Valley venture capital firm in '99 during the huge bubble, and it is fascinating to see that period through the lens of the period rather than with our benefit of hindsight.

Lastly, I can't not recommend Yeager, Chuck Yeager's first autobiography. I read it for the first time in my early teens and pick it up again at least every few years.
