Mailed in my pre-entry today (625.00) for Norwalks 40,000.00 Labor Day weekend. I ran it last year so My spot was held for this years race but had to be paid for by the first week of July or my spot was open to others. Then three big money races in July that’s another 1200.00 In entry fees. Plus gas for the motorhome and turnpike fees. Looks like I’ll have to work this winter too. Lol. That’s last years 660 race schedule so I hope it doesn’t go up again.

Man, we gotta get you making money, just can't continue in the red. lol
We want you to work on your stuff in the winter and do a little cooking. I need some more food recipes, not porting recipes.
Customer cash should money in the bank. lol

John I had hoped for winning mega millions but I'm going to give up on that and hope you win that big time money racing!!!

All it takes is one good day at any of those races and you'll make up for the entry fees and towing expense. I wish I was able to make it to more than keystones 660 top bulb race, but thats better than nothing.

I’ve really struggled getting this frontend straightened out but hopefully I have it real close now. It’s been a handful to drive for the last year. I think I’ll probably buy a new steering rack this winter if it isn’t right now and start fresh.

Didn’t your son hit the wall in that car a little while back? Is that what is causing the front end trouble you’re having?

I didn’t know you were struggling with the front end. What was up with it?

Last year I lost third round several times when the car would dart to the left when coming down from a wheelie. I thought I had it fixed when I found the plastic bushing in the rack that centers up the shaft ate itself from years of being in the car. Well the issue continued but like I said it would be fine for rounds then boom. Well Matt drove the car last year and with Norwalks nice return roads (unlike Keystone) helped me figure the steering wheel was off and while staging I was turning the wheel to get my transbrake button in the normal position thus turning the tires. Making several changes I had the wheels towed in 5/8 of an inch. I think I have things set right now but it’s a real struggle at times working by yourself. Fingers crossed

Ya that was from coming down from a 330 foot wheelie a Quaker City but that was the end of October. It bent the plate that connects the strut to the rack. Fixing that is probably how I messed up the toe so bad. I was trying to center the steering wheel. I now know from doing it I can easily pull the steering wheel to center it but like I said it’s hard to find level asphalt to drive on at keystone.

Woah, way too much toe. If the steering is tight may be 1/16".

No Box Rules:
Single entry only. Racers wanting to double must run in box for the second entry.
Worst red will be turned on.
Separate bye in No Box from Box, until the last No Box car is combined with Box. An entry cannot take 2 byes unless all other remaining entries have also taken a bye. This includes once the last No Box car has been combined with Box.
Deep staging will be honored in No Box, but not in Box. The exception will be if the last No Box is a deep stager. It will be allowed to go deep against a box car.
If the last No Box car is dialed quicker than the Box car it pairs with, Crosstalk will be turned off for that pair only.
$1000 bonus to the No Box winner in addition to round money.

For a first time ever no box will be added to keystone’s 660 race.

That's nuts!

Good luck to u John. Have u put your car on a frame machine? These car do twist and bend slightly after years of racing. Kim

I Dont think I have to worry about this car twisting. Between the roll cage and the old school 2 x 3 box tube frame front to rear it’s built like a tank. I haven’t taken it to put on a frame machine mostly because of the work involved. Loading it up two times and unloading it twice by myself just isn’t going to happen.

Well I may boot the upcoming Quaker City race from my plans. I’ve attended at least four of these and just yesterday they added Jr Dragsters to the schedule. This was a nicely ran race before but adding them is really pushing it. They have their place but adding them to an already packed schedule really jams things up. If there’s a chance of rain I’ll hit the two day race at keystone instead.

Not to sidetrack but I think the Jr's are a great program but they do take time. We had a Jr. only race last weekend but it got rained out.

It is a great program but the spoiled rotten kids Dont have to be involved every weekend. At the big Jr race at keystone we aren’t invited to race, and shouldn’t be. They don’t belong at big money race events.

I’m definitely a supporter of the junior program. I’m just sayin they add a ton of time and on a money race weekend they just shouldn’t be there

I hope my 3/16 of an inch difference in upper control arm location doesn't cause too much of an issue. However I don't even know if I'm getting a true measurement since it looks like at some point the driver side took a straight on hit.
Any ideas on how I should measure it out since I'll need to square the rear end also.
