Swap Meet Parts You Passed On and Later Regretted Not Buying

-
I have far more stories of awesome stuff I scored than occurrences when I should have moved but didn't.

The valiant is the only time I can think of when I regretted it. I can go on for pages of stuff that occupies my shed and basement that came from swap meets. Who needs drugs when we have good mopar parts to be had.
You got that right.

If something catches my interest at the swap meet and I really want it I usually just buy it.. that way I won't be telling the story of how I recorded not buying it... I would much rather retry and sell it at a loss then regret not getting it...

In 2006, I was at the Spring Fling in Van Nuys, CA. They had record rainfall and had to hold the show across the street.
A guy had a beautiful used '70 Charger grille and bumper assembly priced for $600. In any normal world, that would still be an outrageous price today. It seemed way out of line even then. Now, a grille alone can be well over $1000. I had the money but couldn't justify spending that much.
At that same show, I stood in line to get an ice cream. As I got to the front, I recognized the guy serving the cones...It was Joey Buttafuco!
Remember that dude? He was the New York body shop guy that had a fling with That young skank Amy Fisher. She was the crazy ***** that shot Joey's wife!
I said to him....Hey YOU'RE Joey Buttafuco !
No. I'm not.
Ahhh...bullshit, man. You're him! WHat are you doing in L.A. ???

1982, All Mopar show in Antioch, CA. I've always wanted a pair of long rams, if for no other reason than to hang them on the garage wall. Guy had a pair (just the two manifolds) for $60. I used the $60 to buy a Mr. Gasket shifter for the '66 Barracuda. What a waste...

That sounds like a great start for a new thread. I'll be the first to post in it after you start it.

Just getting to a swap meet anymore...................the last two times I was at the "goodguys" show in Spokamentro the mopar related stuff was dismal.
Gotta head over west to sunbust in graham wa, damn fine swap meet

Here's a funny. I made that LONG ride from Mo. to Carlisle about 1995 ? with a bunch of parts.. It was stupid hot there, especially for those Yanks! Only thing that stands out in my head was the Cuda shaker hood that took till Sunday till bout 10 o clock for someone to pay that $ 600 I had on it!!!!lol

The neighbor that I educated him on his dads shaker car.
His dad had a stack of shaker cuda hoods, like 10 of them, and pallets full of 340's.

wouldnt surprise me if @hemi71x had a set for sale, but it WOULD surprise me if he matched that price

He's got a lot of stuff. Not sure about a set of rams, though. Just saw him a few weeks ago, but he was walking the little swap meet, not selling...
