T&D rockers on Indy 440-1

Anyone else had a problem keeping the pushrod in the cup we have single shaft 1.6 rockers roller cam 1.55 springs. The exhaust pushrod pops out of the cup when it starts to lift the rocker and then pops back in as the rocker rises. I know it sounds weird but it's doing it.

pushrod clearance in the heads !!

Check pushrod clearance and rocker sweep on the valve tip to verify the geometry.
